That Council move in-camera in accordance with Procedure By-law # 8081-24, Closed Meeting Policy G 040, and the Municipal Act, 2001, Section 239 (2)(b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees, and (d) labour relations or employee negotiations.

That, notwithstanding the Fire Department Establishing and Regulating By-law #7263-17, Council hereby delegates to the CAO the authority for the employment of Deputy Fire Chiefs and the authority to engage and appoint an interim Fire Chief until such time as the recruitment process for a permanent full-time Fire Chief is completed and a recommendation presented to Council for consideration; and, 3. That the Clerk be directed to release Item 2 of the resolution into the public record once the notifications required by Item 1 are complete.
