Special Council Meeting

That Council move in-camera in accordance with Procedure By-law # 7462-18, Closed Meeting Policy G 040, and the Municipal Act, 2001, Section 239 (2) (a) proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of Special Council Minutes February 04, 2019 - 5:30 PM land by the municipality or local board, (e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board and (f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

That Council rise from the closed portion of the Special Council meeting.

1. That the Town of Whitby purchase approximately three acres of Part of Lot 21, Concession 3, being Parts 3, 4 and 6, Draft 40R Plan, known municipally as 1542 Rossland Road East and as identified on Attachment 1 (“the Property”) from Minto (Rossland) Inc. (“Minto”), subject to the conditions as set out in this report; 2. That the Clerk bring forward a by-law authorizing the purchase of the Property; and, 3. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the required documents to give effect thereto.

That leave be granted to introduce a by-law and to dispense with the reading of the by-law by the Clerk to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Town of Whitby at its special meeting held on February 4, 2019 and the same be considered read and passed and that the Mayor and the Clerk sign the same and the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.
