Regular Council Meeting

That Council resolve itself into Committee of the Whole with Councillor Pitchforth, Chair of Treasury Services, in the Chair for the purpose of considering the draft MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF WHITBY HELD ON THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 2010 AT THE HOUR OF 7:00 P.M. IN THE MEETING HALL OF THE WHITBY MUNICIPAL BUILDING AS CALLED BY THE HEAD OF COUNCIL TO CONSIDER AND POTENTIALLY ADOPT THE 2010 OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS 2010 operating and capital budgets.

That the following motion be approved, save and except the budget matters related to the Pioneer Cemetery, Euclid Street paving and the Whitby Public Library: 1. That with the exception of the Pioneer Cemetery, the paving of Euclid Avenue and matters pertaining to the library, the 2010 current budget and the 2010 capital budget be hereby adopted by Council, as amended, to reflect the deletion of $15,000 from account 11100702 – Council Chambers Chairs; and 2. That as part of the 2010 budget, it is hereby acknowledged that as part of the proposed budget, reserves will be utilized for debt repayment for Cullen & IPSC repayment.

That the 2010 Current and Capital Budget in relation to the Pioneer Cemetery be adopted.

That the 2010 Current and Capital budget in relation to the paving of Euclid Street and the Whitby Public Library be adopted.

That the meeting be adjourned.

That Council in Committee of the Whole meet past 11:00 p.m.

1. That the 2010 current budget and the 2010 capital budget be hereby adopted by Council, as amended, to reflect the deletion of $15,000 from account 11100702 – Council Chambers Chairs; and 2. That as part of the 2010 budget, it is hereby acknowledged that as part of the proposed budget, reserves will be utilized for debt repayment for Cullen & IPSC repayment.

That the Committee of the Whole rise and report to Council.
