Regular Council Meeting

1. That Planning Report Item 79-10 be received for information; MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF WHITBY HELD ON MONDAY, JUNE 7, 2010 AT THE HOUR OF 6:00 P.M. IN COMMITTEE ROOM ONE OF THE WHITBY MUNICIPAL BUILDING 2. That Council endorse the comments contained in Section 5.0, save and except subsection 5.2, as the Town’s comments regarding the Province’s Draft Decision on Regional Official Plan Amendment No. 128, as amended in subsection 5.4 so that it reads as follows: Whitby supports the Region’s recommendation that offices and business parks remain as permitted uses within the ‘Employment Area’ land use designation. It is recommended that the statement within Mod 42 indicated in “green” and stating “Office buildings and business parks are encouraged to be located along Regional Corridors” be modified to state …. “Office buildings and business parks are encouraged to be located along Provincial Freeways, Regional Corridors and Local Corridors adjacent to Type A Roads …” 3. That a copy of Council’s resolution and Planning Report Item PL 79-10 be forwarded to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Region of Durham.

That Council endorse the comments contained in Section 5.0, subsection 5.2, as the Town’s comments regarding the Province’s Draft Decision on Regional Official Plan Amendment No. 128, as amended in subsection 5.4.
