Accessibility Advisory Committee

That the Accessibility Advisory Committee minutes of May 5, 2026 be approved.

1. That the Accessibility Advisory Committee approves the Lead Project Accessibility Improvement Grant application for Metahus Inc. (XR Fit) in an amount of up to $10,000 matching dollars, conditional upon Metahus Inc. (XR Fit) contributing more than $5,000 toward the project; 2. That if Metahus Inc. (XR Fit) is unable to contribute more than $5,000, the Committee approves a Small Project Accessibility Improvement Grant of up to $5,000 matching dollars for Metahus Inc. (XR Fit), and the Lead Project Accessibility Improvement Grant of up to $10,000 matching dollars will instead be awarded to Fair Trade Motors Inc.; and, 3. That, if Metahus Inc. (XR Fit) receives the Lead Project Accessibility Improvement Grant as set out in clause 1, the Accessibility Advisory Committee approves the Small Project Grant application for Fair Trade Motors Inc. in an amount of up to $5,000 matching dollars.

That the Accessibility Advisory Committee requests Council to direct staff to conduct an accessibility assessment of the 2026 Canada Day event, with recommendations for a fully inclusive event to be considered for implementation at the 2027 Canada Day event.
