That the Whitby Sustainability Advisory Committee minutes of September 1, 2021 be approved.

That the Whitby Sustainability Advisory Committee, in partnership with the Whitby in Bloom Committee, requests that: 1. Council accept the invitation from Communities in Bloom and the Canadian Garden Council to participate in the Year of the Garden 2022 celebration; 2. Council proclaim 2022 as the Year of the Garden; 3. Council commits to being a Garden Friendly City; 4. Council recognize National Garden Day on June 18, 2022; and, 5. The Town support and promote sustainable and pollinator friendly gardening initiatives brought forward jointly by the Whitby Sustainability Advisory Committee and Whitby in Bloom Committee.
